Easter Weekend 2017 – Hired a Kombi called Beryl for a short road trip around the northern Port Stephens area. Spent a few nights at Mungo Brush camping ground. A lake one side and a beautiful remote beach on the other. Lots of bush walks as well, we did the Old Gibber Track/Johnson’s Beach Trail to Johnson’s Beach. A lovely lakeside beach with camping accessible by boat only. Sent time on Bennett’s Beach in Hawks Nest, retiring to Newcastle via Karuah. Spent a night on the Karuah shoreline a very tranquil spot. A great long weekend just 2.5 hours from Sydney. We will back as so much more to explore.
